What is Invisalign Teen?
Invisalign Teen is an incredible orthodontic system that has been developed specifically for teenagers. Based on the original Invisalign system, Invisalign Teen uses a series of transparent aligners to steadily move teeth into position, but there are adaptations to the system to make the treatment more suitable and effective for the needs of younger patients.
Invisalign Teen has additional aligners for any lost aligner scenario and each aligner is marked with a colour change indicator to inform the patient when it is time to change the aligner for the next one in the series.
How does Invisalign Teen work?
Invisalign Teen works in exactly the same way as the original Invisalign system. A series of aligners are manufactured according to the images and impressions of the patient's teeth, with each aligner being shaped slightly different to encourage the teeth to move over time. The aligners must be worn for at least 22 hours per day and each aligner is worn for 14 days before being replaced with the next aligner in the series. By the time you have finished wearing the last aligner you should have a beautiful, straight smile.
